What was likely the last Arctic Passion field trip was conducted by local hunters Qillaq Danielsen and Gedion Kristiansen on the newly formed landfast sea ice in Qaanaaq, on 30th December 2025 including measurements of sea-ice thickness and installation of loggers under the sea ice. The instruments will be recovered in late May 2026 ensuring continuation of the pilot service created by the project. You can read more about the service here.
