In  just three months, on 29 September 2025, the Arctic PASSION Symposium and General Assembly will begin in Potsdam, Germany. The General Assembly, the annual meeting of project partners, collaborators, and invited guests of the Arctic PASSION project, will take place from 1-2 October 2025.

This year, an Arctic PASSION Symposium will precede the General Assembly, running from 29 to 30 September. As the project approaches its final year, the Symposium will bring together Arctic PASSION members and many of our international partners to present key achievements and engage in discussions on the following themes:

• Arctic Observations and Arctic Knowledge
• Bringing the Arctic Data System to Action
• Societal Needs, Benefits and Wellbeing
• Coordination and Governance of an Arctic Observing System
• Pan-Arctic Observing for the Next Decade

The Symposium will feature scienctific talks, poster & expo sessions, as well as panel discussions with project members and invited guest speakers. A preliminary programme with session details and speakers is available on the Arctic PASSION registration website.

The registration deadline for both events has now been extended from 30 June to 31 July. Poster abstract submissions are also open until July 31. You can register and submit your abstract here.

The venue for the Arctic PASSION Symposium is Haus H on the Science Campus Albert Einstein in Potsdam where AWI Potsdam branch is located. The General Assembly, which is reserved to AP members and guests, will take place 1-2 October 2025 at the Inselhotel in Hermannswerder in Potsdam.
